On digital citizenship

As an ex-ICT Coordinator in previous jobs, I do have an interest in educational technology, and how it can deployed successfully (or more often not). The concept of digital citizenship was something that struck me as encapsulating an awful lot of disparate strands of IT in one easy phrase.

I’m going to share something that we made in our school. It was a collaborative effort done in one of our house sessions with the kids. We were trying to think about what the Learner Profile looks like in different contexts – the library, the playground, the Peforming Arts room, the After-School Club (SFO as it’s known in Norway), and most importantly the Tech Room. It’s a bit general – it tries to cover everything – but the kids came up with some really good ideas which I might have polished… a bit.
